Lightbulb Warhammer 40k tournament, time-lapse videos

Hi All,
I had an idea about how to capture and present a video of a Warhammer 40k tournament game.

I now have 2 tournaments worth of videos up on my channel.

I plan on doing a tournament every 3-4 weeks, and have all the videos up on the channel.

Let me know what you think.

The third round of videos are up! This month’s tournament is a 5 game, 1750 point slug fest called rapid confrontation held on the gold coast (Queensland, Australia)
Head on over to my channel and take a look.

I got the wide angle lens and the time lapse now captures about 90% of the 6x4 table. Really happy about how the videos turned out, but as always, if you have feedback, let me know.

Hi everyone,

Well the biggest 40k team event in Queensland, Titans of war 2, has just been played and my team, Legends in our own minds, came first!
As always, all my games are up on my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Tabletoptourneys

Really happy with the results, with 14 teams of 4 playing (56 players all up) we had some really tough rounds with us playing and beating the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams.
We were the only team to go undefeated, by winning every round and we were the only team without an Eldar or a Tau army (Tyranids, Dark Eldar, Necrons and Imperial Guard w Dark Angel allies & some forge world models)
On a personal note, this is my first tournament win as well as my first tournament were I won all 5 games!

I thought the tournament was great as always (thanks Adam from Alphahobbies) and great prize support too.

After nearly 2 years since starting the swarm, it is now complete! 558 models and way too many points to even think about. The next apocalypse game I will be having at my house will be EPIC!

I actually really like this format! What kind of tri-pod (Or may even be quad-pod) do you use to capture the action? Cracking batreps, well done!

I currently use http://www.brinno.com/html/TLC200.html

But if you are thinking of getting a time lapse camera I would get the next model up (as it came out after I got mine) http://www.brinno.com/html/TLC200pro.html

Also, I just have a normal camera stand and I stand it up on the table (some of the tourneys have a 1 or 2 foot bit of the table that is used for your models)

If I can't stand it on the table, then i use a terrain box instead. If you watch through some of the videas on my channel, you can see the set up (eg at the beginning of this game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiKZ3aP6150&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLhBrJQQPRRNeIFS9npYDi8LEuteTq-5ko)

Glad you liked it!

This is great, I'd love to get some close-up pics of this.

Also a breakdown of how many models of what type.
