If only....
The serial whiners in life could separate opinion from fact.
Rumour readers remembered not to trust anything, and thus avoid going off on one because of a rumour
People realised there is more to making a convincing argument than 'blah blah blah pressure' (work whinge)

I don't know how this would work on the table, but it sounds great.Given its massive bulk, the Tyrannofex is a ponderous beast and is prone to being overwhelmed if engaged in a protracted melee... Should the Tyrannofex find itself under threat, it emits a stress pheromone. This attracts the other tyranid bioforms, ensuring that the Tyrannofex will not have to combat a foe in close quarters without the aid of creatures more suited to doing so.
Something like:
If one or more enemy units is within 12" of one or more Tyrannofeces, you add +1 to all your Reserve rolls (cumulative with any other bonuses).
Any Tyranid unit Deep Striking within 6" of a Tyrannofex that is within 12" of one or more enemy units does not scatter.
Any Tyranid unit (except a Tyrannofex) charging an enemy unit that is within 12" of one or more Tyrannofeces rolls an extra D6 for its charge distance, discarding the lowest.

Copy and paste bits from the Beast of Nurgle. Perhaps....
'If a Tyrannofex is charged, one unit of (insert limitation of choice to taste) may declare a charge against the offending unit. Successful charges of this type always count as disordered charges'.
Not too overpowering, and requires a points investment in an escort unit.
Or.....
'If wounded in close combat, in your next assault phase, one Tyranid unit joining the ongoing combat may re-roll its assault move'
Two realistic ways, without being immediately broken.
As for other suggestions..... Doomscythe description mentions its engine noise reducing enemies to a catatonic state on its attack run. So....
Sonic Maelstrom.
When a Doomscythe enters play for the first time*, choose one enemy unit the Doomscythe has moved over. This unit immediately takes a pinning test at -2 leadership.
Cool, but not quite overpowered as its a one off per Doomscythe.
