    Default Sternguard Veteran Squad

Morning all, just finished a 10 man Sternguard Veteran Squad for my Space Marine army. It's a custom Space Marine Chapter which currently has no name

Many of you will no doubt mention that I should paint on highlights for the armour, guns, helmets etc but as im going for a more darker look i feel that while i have the skill to do the highlights i might run the risk of ruining the overall look, so im playing safe

    Enjoy.

NB: As usual models look better in person than their pictures, lol.

I like them but you run the risk of your opponent referring to them as 'The shiney helmets' I know I would...

Lol at least you haven't said that they look red, in other threads people have thought they were red.

They actually do look pretty red to me, though now that you mention that they aren't, I suspect that they are actually a ruddy bronzish-brown.

Rhinox Hide base then once all other base colours painted on i shaded them with Nuln Oil (which is about a third full and so quite dark). Then used Doombull Brown as the layer.
