Thread: Leviathan

Default Leviathan

So I fell in love with Bulwarks Leviathan design and decided to steal it. I really like this smaller version since it will fit on an APOC board a little better and it is more easily sotred at home. (http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2009/10/40k-project-log-leviathan.html)

I am mostly finished, I just need to get the turret mounted on top. In all it took me about 7 hours and 100$ for parts (2x Bastions, 2x Baneblade tracks.) This was built entirely using the Bastion kits and BB tracks, with the only exception being a piece of PVC pipe for the DDay.

I am using a Shadowsword hull and cannon in place of the Battle cannon, as it just looks too small.

These pictures are a couple days old, I have since added the Hydra to the top deck, the DDay cannon and some general bits and jazz, similar to Tim Kline's version (http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2009/10/40k-showcase-tim-klines-leviathan.html)

Impressive work. I'd like to see more pictures, when you have them; my one critique would be that in these pictures the front and back are not easily distinguishable but I suspect that will change now the Hydra and cannon are there!

Fantastic work! I actually like the separation of the front and rear tracks more than I thought I would. Cant wait to see the final product.

PS. I think it would look great with massive banners hung on each side.

Looking really good! I like how the tracks turned out too.

Vorlon, great idea. Wher edo you think they should go?
The seperated BB tracks was a toss up, but I think it sort of gives that semi-truck feel. I will connect the two with some cabling. I wanted this to have as little real cutting and conversion as possible, and keep it pretty modular.

After a brief hiatus to finish my Tau army for a 5k APOC, I've returned to this bad boy:

debating on whether or not to add the bb spnsons, what do you guys think? Overkill? Good?

Do I see smoke launchers? How big of smokescreen do you need for this?

And add the sponsons. In the drim darkness of the future there is no such thing as overkill.
I'm thinking it'd probably turn out more like Daleks playing Quiddich. "It is the Potter!! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! " (someone I know on twitter)

Hah! Ya I guess a little cloud would be pointless, maybe they are gas for anyone assaulting
