Kudos to you for not drop podding meltas/combi-meltas/multi-meltas.
"You look at all this gunline and think: 'I could assault with this!'"
"D*** it, Sam! Stop counting to such high numbers!"

I think drop pods loose out to the mobility of the rhino or razorback.

Lol. I knew I forgot something. I guess I will drop one sternguard and add a storm bolter or h/k missile to the rhinos.

Add combi-meltas, go MM/HF Speeders, go AC/HB Preds, ditch the TFC.

Since you're stubborn, powerfists would be a must for your Sternies.

Seeing as how you’re planning on maximising your shooting (or so I’d guess from the title):

    1) You might as well go with Razorbacks and heavy weapons for the stay-at-home Sternguard. Lets you save on the combi-weapons too.

    2) Might not be a bad idea trading in the heavy support choices for some dedicated anti-tank from the fast support section.

    Basically….

    Pedro
5 scouts with camo cloaks and sniper rifles
5 scouts with camo cloaks and sniper rifles

    10 Sternguard, 5 combi-weapons, Razorback, power fist, 2 lascannon
    10 Sternguard, 5 combi-weapons, Razorback, power fist, 2 lascannon
    10 Sternguard, 4 combi-weapons, Razorback, power weapon, 2 multi-meltas/missile launchers

    3 multi-melta attack bikes
    3 multi-melta attack bikes
    3 Land Speeder Typhoons
2000 points on the dot, use of the list should be pretty self-evident...

    - Pedro goes where he’s needed.

    - Sternguard do the combat squad thing OR stick together depending on mission – the heavy weapons let them do either and still have an impact on the game.

    - Attack bikes hug terrain and hunt tanks.

    - Typhoons stand off at maximum range and pound away – you really don’t want a squadron of AV10 vehicles getting anywhere where the other guy can glance an entire squadron senseless with a single volley.

    - Razorbacks, attack bikes and Typhoons can also double up for crowd-control duty if necessary.

Ditto to confudled on adding lascannons to the sternguards. Though they loose special ammo, they become a scoring mini-devastator squad that will eat anybody that gets into rapid fire range. This looks like a fun but unforgiving list.

Final ideas for the list i didnt have the codex on me for the dread so forgive me if it isnt pointed correctly.

    HQ 1 Pedro 175
HQ 2 MotF with power sword 115
Troops 1-2 5 sniper scouts with camo 90
Elite 1-3 10 sternguard 2, las cannons, 5 combi meltas, power sword (replacing bolt pistol) 960
FA 1-2 5 Attack bikes with 2 multi melta 220
Heavy Dread with plasmacannon and auto cannon 125
Dedicated Transports 3 Razorbacks with assault cannons 225

Generally the MotF and pedro will deploy in a transport and the one with pedro will be the advance unit. The rest is pretty obvious sternies combat squad as mini dev units and the other half take objectives and the attack bikes generally harass the enemy and try to avoid getting killed
