We have, as a society, gotten this far. Yes, there are changes to be made, and they are being made, but it takes time. Hearts and minds don't change overnight.

Change needs to be constant.

A staid society falls into inevitable and often irrevocable decay as the rest of the world marches on.

We're top of the food chain, and really need only fear ourselves as a predator - we got here through adaptation and flexibility, and not just in body, but in society and it's structure.

It needs to be a constant, ongoing momentum - something sadly lacking in the world just now. I mean look at what we can do with science. We could, if we wanted, produce clean energy. We could, if we wanted, feed every single mouth on the planet. We could, if we wanted, utterly eradicate poverty, and with poverty tackled, many of the reasons for violence go with it (but sadly not all).

But it has to be for all - us white blokes have done incredibly well over the past three hundred years. We've shaped the world to our liking, and even the poorest of us actually have it pretty easy. And that just isn't good enough.

To the Assorted Primarchs, what would you do if you were on a subway/bus/cable car/other means of public transit and you saw a guy harassing a woman?

Guilliman: I think I’d like to safely imagine that any of us would intervene on her behalf with a ‘get lost, your behavior is unacceptable’ of some manner or other, depending on the scale of this theoretical harassment. As primarchs, we have the benefit of, well…being primarchs, and thus we’re quite adept at getting our own way. Moreover, if there’s one thing that the Emperor did give us as a father, it’s a loathing for seeing innocent people suffer. When you look across the histories of the lot of us, one common thread is that every primarch that was forced to fight took up the cause of the common person. Nobody - not myself, not Angron, not Mortarion, not Jaghatai - sided with an oppressor over the oppressed. Even Konrad, though I deplore his tactics and vehemently disagree with his human outlook, did his work with an eye for alleviating the suffering of Nostromo Quintus.

It makes sense all-round IMO. Toy manufacturers widen their market and sell more, and people don't get pigeon-holed into one or the other.
