That disappointment I felt when I found out that Gott's new avatar was not actually Maka Albarn as I first thought. Oh well, at least I can go dig that series' soundtrack up again!

I don't think anyone's brought up the rumours of the Kurdish female militia that is currently taking on ISIS. I hope with all my heart the hilarious way they're winning combat is true, if only for the image of those 'lionhearted freedom fighters' running screaming from the very women they oppress for fear of being cut down without a hope of afterlife paradise. Ah me, it's just so funny a story, like they're scared the cooties will get them.

Also, I was watching E4 over here under passive duress - the family was watching Big Bang Theory - and they showed an advert for a trans fashion show seemingly a la Next Top Model. A little part of me felt happy that here was a show treating them as people too, and most importantly as the women they want to be.

At least, until I realised that it was treating them like women only due to them being attractive and objectified like every other fashion show. Then I felt a bit sad.
