Yup. Yup, not to mention the logic is ridiculous. You can't produce a dozen films of Superman and Batman and then turn around and cite a lack of audience knowledge (a false statement anyway) as a reason not to make a film for her. It also assumes Batman and Superman have always been the large, pop culture icons they are now and that is not the case. They have had ups and downs in popularity too,the difference is peopel kept persisting with teevee shows and films. The only reason there wasn't a Wonder Woman Animated Series to go with Batman and Superman was sexism and the only reason she hasn't had her own films before is sexism. She is a woman so her stories are not a priority compared to telling and retelling the story of how a wealthy chap with issues beats up thugs and the mentally ill.
The Marvel thing is interesting because prior to 2008 Iron Man was not a list like h is now, neither was Thor. Captain America and the Hulk were but Iron Man was really b list. He had modest sales and was not well known outside the comics crowd, ditto for Thor. Now BECAUSE of the films Iron Man, thor (and Loki) are HUGE. The films could do the same for women characters but instead people are saying they are too risky because they aren't well enough known...
