However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

Really hate this one too.One of my least favourite dialogue tropes is when a man tells a woman “you can’t do that” or “I wouldn’t do that if I were you” and she says “why? because I’m a woman and therefore too weak to handle this/can’t take care of myself?” or something to that extent and the guy replies with “no, because everyone who tried that ended up with a bullet in their brain” or something equally reasonable and not gender specific that paints him as the rational not sexist guy and the woman as irrational paranoid feminist who searches for sexism in everything. This whole scenario is built on the idea that sexism is over and women’s fears and suspicions don’t have a leg to stand on. It’s also self-congratulatory pseudofeminism bc it’s supposed to make the viewer/reader/listener feel that in this specific work of fiction women are treated respectfully and as equal with men.

Definitely overused and rarely to good humorous effect
But if someone's willing to pay a lass good money ? And she's a willing participant ? Pay for education etc etc. Apparently it's not officially gone either, Just not on a daily basis any more.
I don't read the sun, obviously I can't now, and whilst it's content can sometimes be questionable it's also done a heap of charity work and exposure for good causes.

As someone who now has more American /Canadian content on the TV as opposed to UK content I can happily say that you guys in Britain have fair more quality tv than here in North America. The stuff you see back in Britain is the best of what they have to offer here. The rest is pretty much ****e.

The problem with page 3 girls is that it betrays a deep inequality in how we depict women. We still have debates about whether public breastfeeding should be allowed and we still shame women for showing too much flesh when theydress how they want too but when you want to slap some bare breasts in a newspaper for creepy right wing ****wits to ogle it's all good.

Really good article about selective historical accuracy and how pop culture ideas of what is realistic are usually bull**** and it all ends up just being an excuse to exclude women.

Oh indeed. I've nothing against working girls (euphemism because of work filters!). If you've got, and someone is buying, why not? Just need to get the Pimps out the way, and ensure the working girls are doing it because they like it, not because they've been forced/coerced.
