    Well that's not actually what she wore in the 2013 game, and the story explains the tank top as she wasn't actually planning on going adventuring that day, plus the next game has art of her dressed like this:





    and she's about as well characterised as any male character in a similar style game, perhaps better though your opinion may vary on that as it is a subjective thing.

    Yeah, they did a pretty good job of her in the reboot. I felt the story-telling was a bit too reactive, protagonist rarely being proactive, but that's a pretty common, nongendered problem.
