I don't like Stewart Lee, but he does make a good point about how the 'it's only a joke' line, what he calls 'The Jeremy Clarkson Defense' is such nonsense. He talks about when Richard Hammond crashed on 'Top Gear', and how he wishes Hammond had died in the crash.Someone should draw a 'misandrist' joke comic and try and get it on the mainpage to see if it is still 'just a joke' then.

Guy I knew at uni used to be massively insulting to people then say 'it was only a joke'. I was amazed how many people thought that made it acceptable somehow.
