I still find it bizarre that social justice warrior is a pejorative. How many mental loopholes do you have to jump through to convince yourself that the people arguing for equality are the bad guys?

As for the GG topic, I find it interesting that even in this thread, who tend (from observation) to lean towards what we consider the left in the US, there are people on both sides of the fence. I find myself to be pro-gamer, anti-harassment. I think the best solution for GamerGate is for both sides to stop using the hashtag, either to defend it or to attack it and come back with a better front. One that both sides agree is laudable. But that might be my idealism talking.

This man literally created GamerGate, it started as an attempt to shame is ex who cheated on him when they were apparently already separated. This is the beating heart of GamerGate. He deliberately planned how to maximise it's impact:
