Though assuming your initial figures are taken from self confirmation I'd assume the true usage figures to be higher than reported?

See, porn as a thing isn't bad, but the industry is largely unregulated and no one takes the complaints of sex workers seriously and it keeps feeding on male misogyny by getting harder and more degrading as time goes on and that stuff becomes more and more mainstream. I didn't know what BDSM was until I was 20 and now you get 13 year old boys watching extreme videos of it and most importantly SEX EDUCATION COMPLETELY FAILS TO KEEP UP. It still talks to kids like its 1980 and the most they will ever have encountered is maybe a topless photo in some old magazine.
Sadly it comes back to shaming sex workers, if you don't think of them as people you aren't going to ensure the industry doesn't treat them like refuse. There are feminist porn producers out there and there are porn stars who operate on their own terms and that is positive but the industry needs to be far more regulated than it is now.

Really? That seems amazingly sheltered in this day and age.
Certainly young teens shouldn't be watching BDSM as they probably wouldn't understnad safewords and such like, but things like fifty shades of grey probably do as much damage there considering how popular it is and it portrays an abusive relationship in some sort of positive manner.
