If the Tea Party movement wasn't cross-gender i'd totally back that sentiment.

Another interesting fact, 75% of the women in Congress are Democrats, 25% Republicans. Overall women make 8% of Republicans, as mentioned, while for Democrats they are 29% which is still woeful but significantly better.
Looking at the Tea Party specifically:
61% of the broader movement poll as male (79% white) vs 48% of the general population or there abouts.

I find it difficult to understand a party that doesn't want the government to interfere in people's lives, yet constantly tries to get the government to interfere in people's lives.

the list of anti obamacare/food stamp etc. republicans who claim vast government subsidies for companies, agriculture etc. are just hilarious.
