    Really?

Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed my time while I was there but, greatest city? methinks not. That will be New Jersualem obvs.

Also, I disagree with it's political leanings, oh and Fulwood.

watching an old QI last night and there was a great question on there. "why do women make better fishermen?" the top fishermen in Britain are female, in as much as the biggest fish caught in Britain have all been caught by women. Stephen Fry's answer was simple, there is no reason. the point is that had the top catchers been men, nobody would have questioned it. but because they are female, people are trying to find out why, putting forward suggestions like women give off pheromones that attract fish.

I would have thought it was done to patience and attention to detail.

Thinking of "sport" and the differences between men and women. Dani King (3x world persuit gold medalist, 2012 gold medalist, current holder of the world record time (yes, that, Dani King)), believes that it is emintently possible that there team can match the mens pace in the same discipline.

Other strange sports, in bell ringing there is an annual competition and all of the teams had between 2-5 female members of the band (out of 12) so there you have it.

Can't overstate the importance of these women not only to winning the war but in furthering womens rights in such an unprecedented way. By wartime necessity women were given the opportunity to prove that gender roles were bollocks, that there is no such thing as Mens Work or Womens Work. Also worth remembering that there was opposition at the time because some people feared precisely that and the housewife of the 1950s was a giant reactionary step backwards that ultimately fueled the last fifty years of feminist revolution.
It is also really fitting that two wars that were ostensibly fought about freedom and self determination ultimately resulted in huge steps towards gaining both of those for women.
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!
