There is also a good link at the bottom of the article where they address the points brought up by people who disbelieve the research. I'd be interested in seeing if there is a regional bias. Do typhoons produce the same gendered response? From what I gathered of the study Australian cyclones aren't really as suited to it because low population in cyclone-prone areas makes for lower death tolls over all and an easier time evacuating people whether they want to be or not.

Not really we're just smart enough not to give a crap what its called and get out of the way.



Honestly I saw that article and I call junk. either that or stupidity on the parts of the participants (this is the general population that had to be reminded that not only was the chech republic was not chechnya, but also that yoguslavia doesnt exist anymore)
