Also with Star Wars about 75% of the plot was lifted from Kurosawa, who was also copied by Sergio Leone to make the Man With No Name films - which gets extra ironic as Kurosawa was basing his style of Samurai film on the cowboy genre.

Excuse the colonial spelling I just linked it

So is that a yes or no EG ? I've never read any "fanfic" except for a published War of the Worlds sequel. Will you share yours with us ?

Not sure if you've never read any starting with something like that's the best option
Scout Willis and her topless protest. Of course the media just reported it like she was a spoilt brat doing it for attention. It's almost like 97% of media decisions are made by men with a vested interest in maintaining the patriarchal status quo or something. In the 1930s, men’s nipples were just as provocative, shameful and taboo as women’s are now, and men were protesting in much the same way. In 1930, four men went topless to Coney Island and were arrested. In 1935, a flash mob of topless men descended upon Atlantic City, 42 of whom were arrested. Men fought and they were heard, changing not only laws but social consciousness. And by 1936, men’s bare chests were accepted as the norm.
So why is it that 80 years later women can’t seem to achieve the same for their chests? Why can’t a mother proudly breastfeed her child in public without feeling sexualized? why is a 17-year-old girl being asked to leave her own prom because a group of fathers find her too provocative?
[…] I am not trying to argue for mandatory toplessness, or even bralessness. What I am arguing for is a woman’s right to choose how she represents her body — and to make that choice based on personal desire and not a fear of how people will react to her or how society will judge her. No woman should be made to feel ashamed of her body.
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!
I'm all for equality and quite frankly don't want to see anybody's nipples. If Instagram wants to make this a policy then that's up to them but make it count for everyone.

Exactly. If you have a no nipple policy that is applied to all genders then that is fine. If it applies to women only, it is sexist.

It is physically and emotionally draining to be called upon to prove that these systems of power exist. For many of us, just struggling against them is enough — now you want us to break them down for you? Imagine having weights tied to your feet and a gag around your mouth, and then being asked to explain why you think you are at an unfair disadvantage. Imagine watching a video where a young man promises to kill women who chose not to sleep with him and then being forced to engage with the idea that maybe you are just a hysterical feminist seeing misogyny where there is none. It is incredibly painful to feel that in order for you to care about my safety, I have to win this verbal contest you have constructed “for fun.”
