Not sure that's true - there's no data to support it, after all, and Emperor knows, if you're going to say anything in this thread, you better have all the data in the f***ing world to back it up.

But I'd like it to be true. It would say something positive about people. (Although, of course, that's why I suspect it's not.)

Interesting article in The Guardian. They've recently been covering women's issues more explicitly, and have subsequently run into serious problems with the usual misogynist chuckleheads (surprise surprise). They're thinking of getting rid of the anonymous commenting system as a result - forcing people to own their words.

This is so true and almost universal. Consider say anti-vaxxers, there are countless studies and research showing that the vaccinces are safe and effective. Then you have one person jump up and down who says things that they believe and boom, they think that one persons opiionion is more important than the independent research. Why? Because it agrees with their world views.

There are several reasons for this

    1. Goth Girls are Easy (c.f. LBD)
    2. There music selection should be good.
    3. They are probably reasonably intelligent.

It will be interesting to see how much their experience changes when they end anonymous comments. People love to blame anonymity for this sort of thing and it is certainly an element but as blogs like Facebook Sexism show people are often happy to be astoundingly misogynist even when someone can click on their name and literally inform their mother. Sadly a lot of men are plain mosogynist and this idea it is a handful of easily identifiable creepy/monstrous men is just wrong. Most of them are just regular men.

    Chainsaw/Leg interface required?

And the little anecdote? Less said about that the better.

And never, EVER obtain a girl's phone number (or indeed, anyone's phone number) from anyone but them.

It's not Grape if you're a gentleman, because nice guys don't do grape. Even when the girl is asking for it, because you're a nice guy.

*Added G due to work filter, rather than cheapening issue.

Must be false though obviously because Richrd Dawkins says there is no misogyny in science.

I can't say I've noticed it myself but then I tend to just focus on a small band of stout and porter producers who seem to be more conservative in their labelling.

Craft Beer. Bah. Just call it microbrewed/crap and be done with it. There's nothing 'crafted' about it.

Article itself doesn't seem to want to load...but yeah. No need for racy labelling. Puns? Oh yes. Even relatively crude ones. But let's keep the following picture a thing of the past yeah?

Nope, can't find one. But Tennant's Special - when I were a kid, the cans had semi-clothed ladies on them. Because reasons.

Thankfully here in the UK, advertisers aren't allowed to associate the drink with the sex.
