I edited it from the "Glorious PC Master Race" pic from Zero Punctuation.
The MtG players loved it.

Yeah the original pops up here occasionally.
However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

Ben Barres is a biologist at Stanford who lived and worked as Barbara Barres until he was in his forties. For most of his career, he experienced bias, but didn’t give much weight to it—seeing incidents as discrete events. (When he solved a tough math problem, for example, a professor said, “You must have had your boyfriend solve it.”)
When he became Ben, however, he immediately noticed a difference in his everyday experience: “People who don't know I am transgendered treat me with much more respect,” he says. He was more carefully listened to and his authority less frequently questioned. He stopped being interrupted in meetings. At one conference, another scientist said, "Ben gave a great seminar today—but then his work is so much better than his sister's." (The scientist didn't know Ben and Barbara were the same person.)
“This is why women are not breaking into academic jobs at any appreciable rate,” he wrote in response to Larry Summers’s famous gaffe implying women were less innately capable at the hard sciences. “Not childcare. Not family responsibilities,” he says. “I have had the thought a million times: I am taken more seriously.”
I think that was posted a few pages back, but an interesting viewpoint nonetheless.

Always brings me down that sort of stuff.
Once again, Terry Pratchett has good thoughts about, relating to all the great Guitarists, Actors, Sculptors and Scientific Genius who never got their chance to shine, simply because they were born in the wrong place. It's bad enough to know that there are people in the Third World who will never fulfil their potential as they might if born in the west. It's doubly depressing to think that because of a pair of norks, there's women born in the west who are in much the same boat.

Yep, think about how many bright minds have been relegated to little more than broodmares and houswives (no offense to houswives, but again the whole thingi s about choice) over the six thousand years or so of patriarchy. Think of all the great scientists, artists, musicians, engineers and general boffins who were denied to the world and what kind of impact that could have had on our species development. And then remember it still happens right now and people wonder why feminists are angry. As that Kimmel chap said, anger is the rational response to oppression.
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!
Wigan Councillor runs up £2,500 Phonesecs bill, and sends derogatory texts about women.
He's not been sacked. But he has been banned from talking to female councillors and that.
Justice?
Now, from what I understand, your average scudline costs £1.50 per minute. To run up £2,500.00? By my (probably flawed to be honest) calculation, that's 1,666.66 minutes spent 'lad in hand' on those lines. He's also previously been caught watching bongo on a council supplied laptop. That's 27.7 hours.
Now I'm all for prawn and adult entertainment - nothing wrong with it. But care to think what would happen to my job and indeed career if I did similar?

Surely being unable to communicate with half the people you work with renders you incapable of performing your job and subject to dismissal?

You'd think.
Unless this is just mroe evidence that being a Councillor actually involves no work whatsoever?
