Papparazzi and the media don't usually shield people from their crimes, they profit from those too.
NSA shares explicit photos taken from attractive people's (translate: women) phones and such:

Edward Snowden, the National Security Agency contractor turned whistle-blower, claims that “incredibly weak” oversight of U.S. surveillance programs enabled military personnel to obtain sexually explicit photos of people under surveillance and to sometimes share them with others.
In an interview with the Guardian, Snowden talked about the impact of poor auditing systems within the NSA. He claimed many people sifting through monitored communications were 18 to 22 years old and suddenly put in a position of extraordinary responsibility that was sometimes abused.
“In the course of their daily work they stumble across something that is completely unrelated to their work, for example an intimate nude photo of someone in a sexually compromising situation but they’re extremely attractive,” said Snowden.
“So what do they do? They turn around in their chair and they show a co-worker. And their co-worker says: ‘Oh, hey, that’s great. Send that to Bill down the way,’” he said.

To be fair, I'm not entirely sure Edward Snowdon is exactly a trust worthy source of information.

No he probably isn't.
But I once worked in photo developing(remember when cameras had film?). And whenever someones porn came through whoever was running the lab would shout everyone over to critique it*.

However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

I'd sooner believe him than the government he used to work for to be honest. The height of irony that a country that supposedly prides itself on believing in small guvmint, fighting tyranniy and individual freedoms will quite happily demonise someone who leaks evidence their government is spying on everyone including them just because said government flails its arms and wails about national security.
But you know, who gives a **** about that if it makes spying on Muslims a bit harder? #tangentOriginally Posted by Benjamin Franklin
I've also heard many stories of male medical professionals who will schedule extra breast exams and other such procedures for attractive female patients and at school one of the big pieces of advice we got is regardless of who your parents chose, get a woman gynecologist. So it certainly fits a pattern of behaviour.

Yeah but they have based their whole national mythos and ethos on that kind of nonsense and they have ignored it flagrantly ever since. Snowden exposed government surveillance on its own population on a vast scale and most of their population don't give a **** because Reasons, and half the people who do give a **** only care because they are scared of their porn habits getting out and don't give a damn when someone hacks nude photos of celebrities.
Which reminds me, the guy who hacked all those photos is now complaining about his privacy being invaded since his name was made public.

A rather reluctant one. He was about as big an Anglophile as they come in the colonies and he considered himself a British citizen rather than an American. He actually tried to mediate in the early phases, but the King or somebody treated him like a no body and drove him into the waiting arms of the treacherous, cowardly French. It took him about ten years or so to fully come round to the idea of an independent America, initially he just wanted equitable treatment.
As for that hacker chump, surely he should be more worried about being arrested now people know his name? I get that the American government can hack who ever they want, but surely they have laws to stop the plebs from doing so?
