That's the big lie of the US gun lobby, they say nothing can be done to fix it while ignoring virtually every country that has seriously tried as managed it. Then they say the US is special and what works their won't work elsewhere, but then they cite other similar countries to demonstrate high gun ownership isn't unusual...
Not against gun ownership, I own guns. But being able to walk around with a loaded weapon designed to kill people is obscene. Especially since in this same state (I think) a black man was shot and killed for trying to buy an air gun or something in a store filled with white people carrying loaded rifles.
