Can a woman not use provocation as a defence as well if she caught another woman in bed with her husband?

However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

It is extremely sexist. A guy can claim he was provoked by his wife and get a significant reduction in sentence even in clearly pre-meditated cases, while a woman who is abused violently for years by her partner will have the book thrown at her because the murder is usually planned because she has to make sure it will succeed otherwise she will almost certainly die.

How the **** is mocking a mans penis size going to be taken into consideration by a court though, I mean is there any more clear sign that masculinity is ****ing pathetic. Women deal with daily sexualisation, objectification and harassment but some guy gets told his dick is tiny and kills his wife for it and that is supposed to be sympathetic? And people still try and deny male privilege is a thing.

Oh and Colorado is looking at changing the law to ban all abortion and even contraception:
Here's what Amendment 67 would really do:
Outlaw all abortion in Colorado, even in cases of rape and incest.
Ban some of the most common and effective forms of birth control, including the Pill and IUDs.
Make it illegal for a pregnant women with cancer to choose treatment that could save her life.
Restrict options for women wanting in vitro fertilization.
Any birth that isn't a live-birth -- so miscarriages and still births -- could be deemed suspicious deaths and would be investigated by police.
If Amendment 67 were to pass, Colorado's 2.6 million women would face the harshest restrictions on their rights anywhere in the country.
So you could end up with women who deliver a stillborn baby and the medical professionals that attended them facing criminal charges potentially. Not to mention the utter insanity of banning contraception that has no relation whatsoever to abortion.

Oh they can. Argument swings both ways. But to my knowledge (gleaned from this thread), it's less likely to be taken into consideration for the sentencing of a woman.

And Colorado - I hope that's them considering it in the same way I'd consider eating my own faeces - someone might suggest it, forcing my brain to at least run the thought process, before laughing and saying no.

It's unlikely it would make much difference, women aren't supposed to be sexual so infidelity is like the Greatest Sin Ever. Men are supposed to be sexual so if he 'strays' its probably her fault anyway.

Apparently some polls have suggested it will pass. Which of course makes a hilarious lie of the US claim to support individual rights, rights aren't rights if you vote on them and the fact lots of peopel don't believe a woman has a right to bodily autonomy is telling as to how they regard women. Even if you for some ideological reason you were happy to see ALL abortion banned (despite that actually increasing abortion rates and fatality rates amongst women and newborns) banning contraception as well is just a shameless attempt to exert control over women by both denying them abortions AND the ability to prevent pregnancy in the first place. You want a low abortion rate? Cheap, easily accessible contraception. It is that simple. Anything which attacks contraception is not about saving lives but about exerting control over women.

Doesn't federal law prevent them banning it? or is it a case of they're going to make it so difficult its in effect a ban?

Also why do they keep targeting the pill? Taken properly it is the most effective thing to prevent abortion.

The states have a lot of independence so they can ignore stuff quite well. Apparently Alabama only legalised interracial marriage in 2000 after the supreme court declared the ban on it illegal in 1967.

Some of the implants are actually much more effective, like 100% reliable and last 1-3 years depending. It's not about a cohereant anti-abortion strategy, pro-life is just an excuse. It's nothing to do with saving lives and everything to do with controlling womens bodies. They want women getting pregnant and having to raise the kid (no govenment assistance though, forcing women to have kids the ydon't want is fine but providing support for them is evil socialism) so they aren't off earning money and being independent.

Well yeah because you're not subject to forgetfulness and sickness affecting the reliability, but its essentially same process so are they on the ban list as well?

Not just that, the drugs themselves are more reliable apparently. But yes implants are being targeted as well from what I've read.
