    Default 1850 Mechanized Eldar

This is my first draft with the new Eldar Codex. I don't expect to make many changes, and I feel that this list is very powerful in it's current state.

Every Wave Serpent has Scatter Lasers to take advantage of the Laser Lock rule; effectively twin-linking the D6+1 S7 shots from firing the Wave Serpent Shield. This army gets 6D6+6 S7 and 42 S6 shots from the Wave Serpents, all of which are twin-linked. That is a huge amount of mid-strength firepower, and enemy transports and light-mid armor vehicles should be dealt with easily. The Fire Prisms and Fire Dragons target AV13/AV14 vehicles.

A side of holofields with your spam?

I had initially given each vehicle Holo-Fields, but I then realized that if I drop them I could get a 3rd Fire Prism! More firepower and another hull is better than +1 to cover, IMO.

I am really happy with the new Wave Serpent rules. They are actually good now.

May I ask why the Shuriken Cannons? Are they just for when you don't want to fire the Serpent Shields?

Yes, that's precisely it. I only plan on firing the shields early on in the game, or I may never fire them depending on the army I am playing against. They are there to provide me with options.

That 60 points could be used for Spirit Stones on the Wave Serpents, or even Holo-Fields on 4 vehicles. Not bad options.

Here's an alternate (and slightly less spamtastic) list. I think I like this one better as it has more scoring bodies and the troops can actually do something.

The Autarch and Warlock join the Storm Guardians for a third Melta unit and also light CC duty (SM combat squads, small scoring units, etc).

I like this list quite a bit more. There's a little more variety and the troops are substantial enough to make an impact during the game.

I personally think you should drop the avengers for guardians. You lose durability but I bet you can get roughly 100 points and if you can spare another 100 you have another serpent.

Absolutely true. In fact, having an extra tank on the table, that gives you both extra firepower and another hull is almost always better than pretty much any expensive upgrades. That's why I like your first list more, actually.

There are two more somewhat questionable points about your second list:
    1) Those lances on Serpents. Why take them when you already have so many Dragons AND Prisms?
    2) Warlock - IMHO, at 40 pts he's a grossly overpriced upgrade for a 110 pt guardian squad. I'd only ever consider adding a Warlock either to full 20-strong guardian blob or to GJB squad of 6+ models.

The only other thing I can mention is lack of distinct AA. If some day you feel like trying a shiny new model, in your second list you could drop warlock and 1 prism and take a Crimson Hunter

    Good luck with your battles!

You don't think wraith knights to be a sound points investment?

Never take a Knight to do a Lords job. I honestly think a Laser/Lance Wraithlord is far more points effective than a Knight. Scatter Laser + Twin Linked Brightlance on the move can hurt tanks and infantry. Bright Lance is just as effective against AV14 as the Heavy D, though that Suncannon is nice...

Lord is also much easier to hide and is also a Charachter so can pull Challenge shenanigans if it so chooses and gets placed shots!
