What you should bring

• Your Army

• At least two(2) copies of your army list (preferred in Army Builder or Battlescribe Format)

• Rulebooks and any other books you need

• Pen and paper

• Dice and templates

• Tape measure

• Super glue (accidents will happen!)

Painting and Modeling:

Painting is not required to play but having a well painted army is part of the game. In order to be eligible for prizes you must have more than 50% of your army painted with a three color minimum. Models should be fully assembled and on proper bases.

WYSIWYG rules will be in effect. Converted or non GW models are fine as long as they resemble what they represent. If a model is found to be “modeled for advantage” appropriate measures will be taken.

Matches:

Each event will be a swiss style bracket providing each player with three games of Warhammer 40,000. The 6th Edition Rulebook will be in use for all games and will be the definitive guide for all rules. The time limit for each game is 2.5 hours (150 minutes). Continue starting new game rounds until the 10 minute warning is given then allow both players to finish that turn.

Missions:

Each round will have a different deployment type and 3 primary objectives. Players earn 1 point towards their overall score for each primary objective they complete. In general, each round will have one objective point based and one kill points based mission. A complete list of missions will be posted prior to the event. Secondary Objectives (Slay the Warlord, First Blood, and Linebreaker) will be used as tie breaker score. Placement will be determined by Overall Primary Objective score then by Overall Secondary Objectives score then by strength of schedule.

In the result of an odd number of players there will be one player with a bye each round. The score for the bye round will be the average of the scores for the other two rounds.

Miscellaneous Rules:

Objectives:

Objectives are always counted as being at ground level. They should never be placed on the upper levels of a ruin or building.

A scoring or denying unit can only count as effecting one table quarter or objective.

If a unit is straddling the line between multiple table quarters:

1.) lf the unit has at least 75% of its remaining models in 1 zone it scores in that zone.

2.) If the unit has less than 75% of it‘s models in a zone or consists of a single model straddling the line between multiple zones, roll a die to determine the zone the unit will score in.

If a unit is within 3″ of multiple objectives:

1.) lf the unit has at least 75% of its remaining models within 3″ of an objective it scores that objective.

2.) If the unit has less than 75% of it‘s models within 3″ or consists of a single model straddling the line between multiple objectives, roll a die to determine the objective the unit will score.

Flyers:

Flyers in zoom mode never count as being in any kind of terrain and do not count for or against completing any mission condition based on positioning. For example: a flyer in the enemy deployment zone would not count towards a battle point modifier for having a unit in the opposing deployment zone.
