    Default Wood Elf Warband

A while ago I picked up some elves to paint(though I've never played the game so I don't know how many pts I have here). I basically basecoated them green and granite, and covered the whole thing in chestnut ink, which is unfortunately no longer made

Very nice work. Good colors & bases.

I picked up that box set on clearance when a game shop here closed. I started experimenting with painting techniques, since they were cheap and I was unfamiliar with painting in general and GW plastics in particular. I did learn that I need to use an actual primer, in white, and not to trust the GW starter kit hints to just brush on a black basecoat. I don't plan to actually get into LOTR now, but I figured that at least I could use them for D&D.

Fun mod: Clip the sword blade off from a swordsman, use it to replace the spearhead on a spearsman, then rig a mace or war club from spare bits to replace the swordsman's weapon. Get a naginata-wielding badass and a war club warrior.
    "Tothe" rhymes with "cloth."
