I don't have the book with me, but I believe the Master of the Forge can take Relics.

Salamanders Chapter Tactics:
Master of the Forge
–Primarch's Wrath and Armor of Awesome. Master Craft a Servo Arm.

When you get close:
5 shots of re-rolling to wound Bolter, and a re-rolling to wound Flamer.

Ouch.
