Default dark angels 3rd company wip

    hi
I'm a new member here and I thought i would do a thread on my 3rd company project.
1st a little about me. I have been away from 40k for over 10 years. Seeing some photos of a friends painting got me interested in starting again. last time i painted space marines they where white metal and not as detailed as the current plastic ones. this will be a long term project getting models as and when funds allow.
Any tips and advice will be appreciated
    thanks for reading

Hi, Glad to see another Dark Angels player. I really like how your green turned out on the devastators.

When you say tip and advice is there anything in particular you are looking for? like painting tips or...?

    Hi thanks for the comment
No tips in particular just any pearls of wisdom from your experience of painting dark angels.

Brother, I really like these models. Thanks for the pics. If I may ask: What steps did you use to paint these models, and how are you going to paint the Deathwing? I have the entire 1st Co and 3rd Co but have yet to use them because they are unpainted.

    Hi gorechilde
To paint the devs I first undercoated them black, I then base coated then with caliban green. Then gave them I a wash of devlain mud and when it was dry I reapplied caliban green to the large areas. As a final highlight I went over the edges with knarloc green.
To be honest I haven't thought about how im going to do the death wing yet.

Unfortunately I changed my Paints so I am going to have to repaint them as I used the original Dark Angels green and there is a difference in the shades between the old and new paints.

Going to repaint them using the Army Painter Angel Green Spray and I will post up my models when I have a squad done
