gw seems about as law-suit-happy as starbucks! Its probably costing them more then they are getting out of it!
Seriously ridiuclas at times this world is (and I'm channelling yoda today)
DWs: Prussains. KoW: Elves WM: Khador WHFB: Dwarves WH40: IG, SM
Games-workshop: changing the rules one new codex/army book at a time.
I really don't think that WFB/40K players are considered a group influential enough to make any difference other than what kind of land raider has higher sales.
Besides, this isn't like this is Hannah Montana or U2 stealing an image. These guys seem like a few steps past playing the local bar. Maybe I am wrong, but I doubt there will be a million dollar law suit because it doesn't seem like the band's record is worth that much.
This is just comical!
Brutal Truth are a very old and big Grind band. They've used the chaos arrows before on album covers and originally were on the same label (Earache Records) as Bolt thrower; a band which wrote whole albums about GW stuff and used a fair bit of artwork.
1. The picture on the left is the Brutal Truth artwork; the pic on the right is a comparison someone has added- it is not in the CD's artwork.
2. As a big band with early links to GW, I'm very sure that they checked out the artwork with GW before they used it.
3. The album was released in April this year and is still being sold with that cover.

Brutal Truth already did make it big; in the early to mid 90s.
They were in the same league as Carcass, Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Obituary etc. Really big death/grind bands of the time.
No it's not major pop-chart success but it's definitely beyond playing in the local bar.
And as I said in my previous post; this album was released over 7 months ago and there has been no backlash.
1. Not in the CD's artwork? Can you not see the Tzeentch eye? The designs through the star? The WAR symbol on the bottom left?
2. What early links to GW? Bolt Thrower was the only band allowed to produce a CD containing GW material. Can you show me otherwise instead of making a claim?
3. Yes, the album was released awhile ago. However, Brutal Truth is not nearly as big as they were years ago. It takes time for someone to notice this sort of thing, however blatant it may be. I have e-mailed this to the GW legal department, and they responded with "We are looking into the situation. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we will be contacting Brutal Truth and their record company about this." -That seems to me that GW just didn't find out about it. If BT is allowed to use this image, or there is no proper copywrite/IP claim, then there is no harm done. If it is stolen, then they will get what the law gives them.
