If'n you remember, literally EVERYONE said that Heath Ledger would be a terrible Joker, now most people think he is some kind of acting god...

Ledger was a good actor, but I'm not the biggest fan of his Joker. A writing issue rather than an acting one, personally.

I think that is the angle they are going for. A maniac.

he doesn't look like a maniac, he looks like a try hard. The Joker doesn't need to cover himself in tattoos saying 'ha ha ha' it just makes him look like an idiot, and not remotely manic.

His past acting experience gives me hope for him being a good Joker.

My main concern isn't just nobody really looks the part yet, but also they've gone for bigger names.

Generally, any film featuring big name movie stars is somewhat disappointing in my experience.
