War and Empire - 15mm Ancients Historical - Now Up and Running

I'm excited to see a 15mm historical kickstarter! I've already pldged my opening amount and will likely pledge more if they manage to open up Scythians, Thracians, and Persians.

Almost to the £20,000 funding level. That will unlock the Thracian army and the Alexander general miniature.



I'm still hoping they unlock the Persians and Scythians at some point as 15mm miniatures for them are hard to come by. I need some Scythians to recreate my Mithridatic army of Pontus.

This means that the Thracians are unlocked and the next stretch goal unlocking King Sitalces is in sight. We should see what faction they plan to unveil next pretty soon.

Persia is next on the list! Now, this is Achaemenid Persia so this is largely geared towards the conquests of Cyrus and Darius I as well as the Greek invasions by Darius I and Xerxes and even later, the conquest of Persia by Alexander.

I've been lacking on the updates due to a busy personal life. The kickstarter now stands at just over 33,000 pounds sterling.

So far they have unlocked:

Thrace,
Persia (Late/Early Achaemenid)
Greeks
Sparta
Italians
Seleucids

In addition they have added a few add-ons such as:

Gallic Townspeople
Greek Townspeople
Ox Wagon
Gallic Village
Roman Citizens
LBM Shield Transfers
Marching Camp
Greek Fortress
Roman Fort

£34,000 will unlock late Roman Republic and a Caesar figure. £36,000 will unlock the Scythians while £38,000 will unlock Indians. I'm guessing £40,000 will be the Ptolemeic army.

So I'm on tap right now for the Roman Fort, Marching Camp, the "Village People Deal" as well as starters for Early Persians, Greeks, Thracians, and a couple individual models for Early Rome. I'll add a starter for Scythia when they are unlocked too.
