    Default Tau paint scheme

Since I'm just discussing the paint scheme, and it's not a finished project yet, I figured general is a good place for it.

I'm putting together a small Tau allied detachment for my Imperial Fists and looking into paint schemes.

My favorite schemes I've seen have been a dark color with a bright color edging and often glowy bits for contrast.

Advice? Opinions? Basing ideas? Let the creativity flow!

Edit: while I want it dark, I don't desire just another black army.

There are other dark colors besides black (obviously), if you prefer to use the same blue for the edging, go for grey (like Eshin or Reaper) or even purple (like Xereus). I can't seem to find a dark blue, so I'm not able to suggest one for that.

    Hmmm that'd look sweet.

I need a bright contrast color for the symbols on their carapace.
