Deathwing reserves question.

Now I know (and found the rule) that one can reserve up to half your points total in a game. But I was wondering if the deathwing can step around this rule with their death wing assault rule.

It's only half your units and the can't. If you have an option to go into reserve then units count twards half. If they don't have an option say flyers or drop pods then they don't count.

The Dark Angels FAQ specifically addresses this and states that Deathwing Terminators count against your reserve limit.
