Cypher Advent Audio short...WTH??? small spoiler

So , I splurged and bought the cypher dataslate, and the audio short.While I am completely satisfied with the dataslate ( the fluff is great, if you only glanced over it, read the short story after the missions!!) , the audio short was unsatisfying.I realized when i bought it,that it only 10 minutes long but...

Cypher runs away halfway through the story, I mean WTH? I've read a little about cypher thru the years, and heard it mentioned he ran from something else in a book i havent read, but why, why release an audio that is so anti climatic to the awesome dataslate? (thats a real question not a complaint)

the short was called Cypher guardian of order,if anyone can answer that would be nice too =)
