The firer chooses the order of shooting and wound allocation, wow.
Fan of Fuggles | Derailment of the Wolfpack of Horsemen | In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni
glad they're clarifying the bull**** with wound allocation and weapon ranges, that really needed sorting!
As much as everyone is losing their minds over Unbound/Battle Forged/Psychic Phase/etc, all those little changes like only one grounding test for FMCs per phase, vehicles being blown up on 7s, the firer choosing the order of shooting and wound allocation/etc, challenges no longer being easy ways to tie up characters and so on sound like GW *are* listening. It's a shame they didn't address those issues with FAQs, but this is definitely a great step forward. Chaos Space Marines in particular won't be hamstrung so much by the Champion of Chaos rules when a Khorne Lord with an Axe of Blind Fury can fight in a challenge and still slaughter a squad in one phase!
The free Primaris Powers if you stick to the one discipline sounds like a buff to Tyranids more than anyone else, every Psyker now having Dominion plus one to three other powers is fantastic. I do wonder how that will interact with Broodlords considering they aren't Synapse creatures, but I guess we will see. There's going to be a big wave of FAQs I'm guessing.

Sounding like common complaints are being addressed.
Also, note no previous rumours (at least that I'm aware of) relating to the info above....

As for possible FAQ for this....to be honest, I think a completely new book is the right thing to do here. FAQ's have a nasty habit of being missed by some, and the changes above are quite game changing.

Its good to see these little tweaks, fixing up rules that weren't quite working as intended, everyone I played with casually already used weapon firing like that anyway as it makes more sense and was a good easy common sense fix, coherency going to 6" vertically will make units scaling ruins a lot easier! I hope this leads to more vertical terrain the table top, makes games more interesting.

True that.
But when it comes to substantial changes to the core rules, a new book is preferable.
How often that book should/could be, different animal.

With the books becoming separate books for the hobby, its much easier to get a new book rather than lug the book or the small book, along with pages and pages of loose FAQ sheets, one or two pages of FAQs are fine but the amount you'd need for this edition isn't really practical, its not that big an expense, £50 for a set of books isn't going to break the bank.
(3 books and price confirmed by my FLGS today on Facebook, they're taking pre orders now for £45 for the boxed set of 3 books)
(and by Energon with pictures from WD!)
