No Ogre players then?
I'm planning on buying a box tomorrow and just thought I'd get other people's opinions on it, oh well.

I don't play OK, though I have some Ogres in my WoC army.
I'm not keen on the current Ogre models, but they have the advantage of flexibility. You can convert one or two into characters and make plenty of Bulls/Ironguts. That's a decent start I believe.
The starting box is a great place to start! Six bulls, six irons, four leadbelchers, all glory (and what an appetite! :P). I bought the original when Ogres were just starting as an army, and got the newer one this xmas. Just about finished building everything in it to fully flesh out my Ogres. Scratch built a Butcher/SM and a BSB with some spare chaos and mournfang bits, and I am set for 2k easy. Definitely a go-to box.
Definitely expand with some sabretusks (I use three old school flesh hounds) and whatever special choices you like. Maneaters are amazing and flexible enough to fill any battlefield roll, while Mournfang are the epitome of the Ogre steamroller tactic. Leadbelchers aren't praised much on the internet, but mine have WIPED OUT cavalry and assisted in so many flank chargers, they might as well be made of gold.
The box is a good starting point.
Ever had a look at the ogres from Manticgames?
I play in GW stores and so I have to use GW stuff

I've never bought a Battalion, so I wasn't sure exactly what is included. Do you get one Ironguts upgrade sprue or two? One would be enough to make four with two-handed weapons plus two command models. If you get two sprues, then you can actually make at least ten, maybe twelve, Ironguts.
It's the best starting point for ogres flat out.
I bought 3 and I now have a lovely ogre army
