Granite City Waaagh!Fest 2014 - Central Minnesota 2K WH40K Pub Tournament

The date's been set for our yearly WH40K Pub throwdown, the Granite City Waaagh!Fest. June 28th in Waite Park (St. Cloud) Minnesota.

Here's the details:

Location: Moose Lodge 1400, Waite Parke, MN
Points: 2,000
Entry Fee: $30

Three, themed missions, food and bar available. Prizes for Overall, General, Paint and Sports, and goody amount of door prizes.

We allow WH40K Approved Forgeworld and we're still working on what will be allowed as far as the new books Escalation and Strongpoint Assault. We're leaning towards accepting both with modifications to D weapons and AV15. We want people to be able to bring cool toys and play some games over beers with old/new friends.

Not that Games workshop has made it any easier on us tournament organizers by releasing stuff every two weeks (slow down!) but we've settled on a rule set for the 2014 Granite City Waagh!Fest - here are the big things to know:


Escalation = Out
Stronghold Assault = In EXCEPT the Aquila Strongpoint
Forgeworld Models = In if “Warhammer 40K Approved”
Forgeworld Armylists = In as long as they’re codex models or meet the above criteria
Dataslates = In
Formations = Out

Other than that - as listed in the first post - 2K, beer and friends!
