Wathier's swecolor ghost eldar! [iyanden]

Hello everyone!

Started this project a while ago, and I have actually come pretty far with it during the last months! As an old space marine player since....well......forever, I decided that I should go have a run with the puny space elves! I've always liked challenges and yellow is about as challenging as it gets! There's also a pretty cool craftworld which combines the yellow with blue, which is the colours of my nations flag (sweden)! So I thought, why not?

Started buying some of them wraithguard to give the whole thing a try! How hard could it be? Well....not that hard actually! Soooo, this is the result I came up with:

YEAH! Not bad eh?! Got pretty inspired by these guys, sooo....what's next? Well, since they're not the fastest dudes in the universe, they need a boat! So I got a boat for 'em! And...a couple of hours of work later, I got this:

So that came out pretty good as well....now...I can't start an Iyanden army of bad@$$es without having at least one spiritseer to guide them into battle...PLUS! I gain one troop and lose one elite choice that way, making these ghost thingies scoring! Not bad! Gotta get one! And here he is:

Nothing special, but he looks decent enough for the battlefield at least! But I wouldn't stop there! No! I needed a real big bad motherf***er to be my warlord!

Thank you! I've only played one time with them, agaionst Tau, and I won! It was pretty fun actually!

Back to my army progress howerer: That spiritseer wouldn't cut it for me! No! I needed an intimidating guy with some durability and some serious firepower to be my warlord! So, what's the most intimidating thing available to the eldar? A big Avatar? Naaaaa... Wouldn't really be in theme with Iyanden! Wraithknight? Yeah!! There we go! But why stope there? Sure, the model is intimidating as it is, but it's not enough! No! I think he needs to jump down and totally wreck a vehicle with a Chuck Norris style kick! So I did:

Warlord, CHECK! Now...I need another troop choice! MOAR Wraithguard!!

I also needed a little brother for my warlord...he seemed so alone in all this...so I got him one:

Now what do I need? Hmmm...NUMBERS!! Yes! I need more bodies! Guardians look nice, are cheap, and make the big bad wraithguard look even bigger and even badder, so I started working on some:

Thank you! Well, he's sort of a brat, so he expects other knights to be impressed by him! Always showing off like that!

I needed something to do between each batch of guardians....I'm going to have 20 of them and after 4 I needed to do something else...let's see... Heavy stuff, HQ, Troops, Transport...but...it's all pretty slow...I NEED SPEED! So I got these guys:

Working on two more at the moment! The Jetbikes needed to be converted a bit though, because the original models look like crap! By this time I need a break from all the yellow...and how can I do that while making progress in my army...aspect warriors? No, not now....Harlequins? No, don't want that unit in my list....but HEY! A mantle autarch? Made with Harley Quinn from batman as inspiration? YEAH! WHY SO SERIOUS?!

And that's basically it for now! I have some guardians to finish (12), and I also think about adding some warlocks, some warp spiders, swooping hawks and another wave serpent to the mix! After that I'm thinking about adding the Lynx from forgeworld since me and my pals play escalation from time to time!

Thank you! I think that all minis have their special personality, and to be honest, in all that grimdark stuff, one really need some humor to survive!
Especially the puny space elf whussies who has a whole god/religion dedicated to laughter!
