    Default Dark Angel Chaplain

    Hey guys! I don't post here very much. Pretty much just lurk! But I just finished off this Chaplain for a good friend as a gift! Hope you guys like him!

    Very cool. The only thing I might have done differently, modeling wise, would have been taking the grip of the sword out too, leaving just the hand resting on the aquila crossguard. That way the aquila makes for a good pommel/counter-weight on the staff, and you don't have the awkwardness of the slightly misaligned angle between them, and changing of the texture on the grip.

    That said though, very well done, the pose is cool and the paintjob is great.

    Thanks for all the comments guys! If you do make the conversion, please share it with my page on Facebook! I'd love to see other peoples work and be more involved in the community! You can also always ask questions on the page which goes straight to my phone!

    Patrick, couldn't agree more! I was torn on the design decision and once I started painting wished I had removed the hilt but didn't want to risk losing the piece to replace it. You live and you learn right?

    Gideon the head was taken from the chaos space marine box with the arrow removed and green stuff used to smooth it out a bit.

    Excellent - I have that box, but I never knew that bit was in there. Total score... Gotta get to work!
