For everyone that missed it, GW ammended the description. This is not an 8" kit. They are claiming it's 6".. but I'm not buying that either.

It's a guide to Imperial Knights that stands alongside the main release.

As I wrote over on the B&C, I suspect that the Companion will be additional fluff and some illustrations, while the Knights of the Imperium book will be sort of a "Heraldry of the Empire" giving the colors and symbols (and brief histories) of more Knight Houses.

I'm going to guess that the Knights of the Imperium is a softback Heraldry book, and the more expensive Companion Guide is just Codex: Knights and the Heraldry book combined in a hardback case.
