    Default Damn, Hippy Goblins

    Hey all,
New here, and I wanted to share my current project. It's my night goblin army. The color scheme is based off of those old blacklight posters from the 60s and 70s. I figured it was appropriate as hallucinogenic mushrooms play a big part of night goblin culture. (I do not partake in, nor condone the use of hallucinogenics, kids :P ).

    Behold, The Psychedellatropochotic Gitz

Here's the BSB boss, he kinda gives one a good idea of what the overall color scheme for the army is.

And here's my latest achievement, tie dyed hoods for my fanatics (Swirly tie dye for swirly death balls)

Thanks for looking. I'll post some more later. Comments are greatly appreciated.

Here is a random shot of some Easter eggs... I mean horrible deadly spiders... ...not Easter eggs. They're not quite done yet. I still need to do the highlighting, but they turned out far more tedious than I expected, and then I've still got their riders to do.

Here is the boss. He's not very photogenic in the pose I ended up choosing, but you get the idea. He's also one of the old metal models, so he feels like he's going to crumble every time I try to move him :/

My army is suppose to be more cave dwelling than Forrest, so I found a nice molded base for him, upon which are a couple of unfortunate treasure hunters I painted to look like empire men. This is the standard theme I plan to use for bases throughout the army. Just a simple cracked grey earth with some darker rocks scattered about. The goblins all have grey agrellan earth bases that show the old necron abyss blue through the cracks. I wanted the bright colors to pop off the bases as much as possible.

And one final shot the spider's backside. I hated that skull, not for the concept, but for the really awkward lines it had. I tried to break it up by doing a sort of "motorcycle gas tank airbrushed skull" effect. It came out so so I guess.

Thanks again, still have a "raver" troll or two to post, so stay tuned.

Here are the trolls. I wanted them to be unique. I find the standard, muddy green troll very tired. I even had some reservations about the sea green, especially being part of an army of full of green goblins, but I think the color turned out unique enough. I felt like they should have their own "rave inspired" (sticking with the army "tripping" theme) color scheme with just some subtle hints to the rest if the army's palette.

I like to imagine they're following the tribe of goblins around, lured in by the musicians. I envision them bobbing their heads clumsily and stomping their feet (completely off beat) whilst they flail their arms about, until the goblins stop playing, at which point they go into a rage.

I give you... Two of what will ultimately be three "Raver Trolls"
(The 3rd will be a magenta/blue green finned vomiter)
