R2-D6 seems like it'll definitely have some interesting applications. Hobbie looks interesting, but tricky to use effectively(a prime candidate for R2-D6 so he can take push the limit?), and Wes looks pretty solid against a lot of my local meta, anyway. Lots of people taking evasion stacked interceptors like Fel, who gets tokens like crazy.

And I can see taking Porkins with R3-A2, push the limit, an engine upgrade and those fletchette torpedoes being pretty funny. How hard do you want to push your luck to screw over your opponent?

For me Wes Janson is the star of that lot. Not just for the nersgasm of saying " good shot Janson " every time he shoots well. I think he will be up there with Wedge and Luke for the award for most spawny git award. I already have him in a wedge, wes and biggs list. Can't wait for this now. Yes I sound like a school girl but ne.

Yep, Wes looks like the star of the pack for me too, the ability to remove an action especially at pilot skill 8 is awesome.
But Porkins, well I always loved him and may include him for fun just because I can.

It also seems worth noting that at only 2 points more than a rookie pilot, Tarn Mison is probably a decent buy if you have a list using rookies and can't find anything else to fill the two points with. Maybe not high praise but he's a neat option.
