    Default Contemptor dreadnought

So I'm going to be getting a contemptor dreadnought for my birthday at the end of the month and I wanted done advice on paint schemes. Now I have a blood angels army he will be added to I was thinking of going with a gold theme for him something akin to sanguanary guard but I did not want to do a block gold I wanted some ideas to break up the gold.

So I'm opening up the floor to ideas.

I would agree that a gold stompy robot might be overkill. I assume you don't want a basic red robot either though, right? What about battleship gray with black mechanical bits, red details, and gold for just some of the large panels? And yes, I know it isn't really a robot, but that is the aesthetics I am considering anyway.
    "Tothe" rhymes with "cloth."

Gold sounds awesome, firehazards link seems a good place to start, maybe use a darker gold?

However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

Agreed a darker gold would be better

My plan was a black undercoat followed by air brushing the gold areas (with my new shiny airbrush) a few washes of thinned reikland flesh shade over the gold and mithril silver highlights. The red areas is do blood red a thinned red ink wash followed by highlights.

do brown with your air brush before gold, that adds depth to the gold, then wash it with green and purple washes, green adds depth to gold where brown makes it muddy, purple adds richness to everything
