Thread: Knights & Babes

1. #1

Default Knights & Babes

I've been working on a new project.

Giving Knights a more austere and realistic approach, inspiring in tanks and aircraft of the Second World War.

With an old and dusty look, as if they were heroical machines with the scars of countless battlefields, with pilots dynasties.

What's better than a giant robot?
Of couse, a giant robot with a sexy pilot.

This one is the prototipe I have been working on, I´m happy whith it so I will create a little army with 5 or 6 of them.

Pilot and weapons are magnetized to allow diferent configurations.

Wow amazing "Real Life" style of painting, love the added touches like the Female Pilot and the rubble strewn base!

Very Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed, etc): Fem pilots are always in skintight-might-as-well-be-naked piloting suits.
I really like the dusty battlefield weathering, and the name graphic on the left shoulder (Knight's left, not our's). Is the cockpit part of the kit? Or was that customized?

Also I would like to see more close-ups of the pilot.

Great job so far One question tho: Is the pilot your own sculpt? If it's a conversion or a ready bought model, could you share the source?

This one is the pilot, and the pilots of my next knights are going to be chousen from infinity bootleg range.

Did you seal the weathering powder yet? If so, what/how did you do it and keep the powdery look?

If I had to guess, I'd say it's from the Infinity Bootleg range.

It'd be a bit lazy if I just guessed and stopped there, though, so I looked it up, and sure enough: http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/2013/miniatures/lizard-pilot/

Great job! Love the weathering and the grim, dirty look... Very Sucker Punch with the adding of a babe!

Beautifully done figure and I love the custom interior. Not sure if it's intentional, but your pilot sure bears a resemblance to Rogue from the X-Men (comic version, not the films) what with the white and brown hair and yellow/green jumpsuit she's wearing.
Either there is life in the universe more intelligent than us, or we are the most intelligent form of life in the universe. Either way, it's a worrying thought!
