Default My first go at Imperial Fists

Hi fellas This is my first post here at BoLS.
I spend a lot of time painting my over blown collection to sell and am finally whittling down my marines.
Here is a group of Imperial fists i used to practice airbrushing with the my new badger minitaire set i was trying to get as much as a gradient as possible with my limited knowledge as well as using oils to get more depth where the airbrush was over done. The sgts face and other details of the squad were done by brush.

One thing i learned getting consistancy from an air brush is a little tough and i wouldnt call it a time saver over regular brush painting, but getting a nice gradient in the model is really purty.

Welcome to the Lounge Languin!

Great looking IF's there. Weathered and tough looking, but just enough to still look tidy.

Let's see some more.

PS, the anti-spam filter will ease up after 5 posts. So no worries if you see some auto-moderated posts in the first couple of days. We will get you all taken care of.

Welcome to the mad house Languin enjoy your stay

Now onto the real stuff....

Wow I like your worn and battleweary Imperial Fists, the muted yellow works so much better IMHO then the neon in your face yellow that GW used to paint theirs in.

My I suggest this thread Deadlifts Airbrush experiences for some very helpful advice on using Airbrushes to their best effect

I am really jealous - I've done an army nowhere near as good as that

Well done

So the fastest way to get through the anti-spam filter is to relentlessly spam?

If you plan on taking a lot of pics, I can't recommend this link enough:

I built one and I love it.
Also, that Dread looks the part so far. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, good stuff. I really like the earthy tone you're going for.
