FW Blog 14: Firedrakes? and Tigrus pattern Combi Weapons

New looks from FW:

I’ve spotted something that Keith Robertson has been working on which looks pretty close to completion.

Looks like some kind of Sally Terminators

The set includes Tigrus pattern combi-flamers, combi-plasmas and Tigris combi-meltas, which will make perfect additions to Legion Seekers, Space Marine Sergeants and Veteran Squads

During the Heresy the Firedrakes were ONLY Terminators.

Firedrakes are the elite [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Terminators"]Terminators[/URL] of the [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Salamanders"]Salamanders[/URL] [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Space_Marines"]Space Marines[/URL]. Chosen not simply because of their skill but also because of their resilience, discipline, and self-sacrificing nature, these are the traits that the Promethean Cult holds in the highest esteem. Firedrakes possess a singular focus in battle which borders on preternatural and legendary resilience; a matter as much to do with their willpower as their superhuman physiology. Firedrakes can be found fulfilling numerous rules throughout the Salamanders ranks rather than concentrated into elitist cadres (as was the case in most other [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Space_Marine_Legion"]Space Marine Legions[/URL]). Following the [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Horus_Heresy"]Horus Heresy[/URL], the Firedrakes were made the First Company of the Salamanders [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Chapter"]Chapter[/URL]. The [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Space_Marine_Captain"]Captain[/URL] of the Firedrakes also serves as Regent of [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Nocturne"]Nocturne[/URL] and [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Chapter_Master"]Chapter Master[/URL], as the Salamanders believe that Vulkan lives and will return to lead the Chapter once more. For operations involving the Firedrakes, the senior [URL="http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Veteran_Sergeant"]Veteran Sergeant[/URL] is chosen to lead the Firedrakes when the Chapter Master is unable to so

Especially as they really, really need to do a Combi-weapon pack for the Cataphractii. Seriously.
