The low initiative of Lizardmen make them a bit of a pain sometimes but they're still very solid in combat with decents armour and toughness letting them live long enough to hit stuff most of the time. Dwarves are punishing to play against but yeah, the gunline tactic is pretty dull, probably the most boring army to play against so I don't imagine they're great to play with.

Really, theHigh Elves are my favourites. They have a great combo of speed and raw, offensive power. Their magic phases are brutal and their specialised infantry (*cough* Phoenix Guard *cough*) are excellent, as well as providing a little more durability. Also, they look gorgeous when a fully painted army is on the board.

My vote is lizards or high elves. The list is more rounded and with access to all 8 lore's you have a much better toolbox to deal with all enemies. Dwarfs (after having played them for 6ish years) are nowhere near as flexible, fun or forgiving to play.
