I think Squats were an endearing concept - and really well suited to the IG list as it stands.
Locking it is about as well advised as the Scopes trial.

I missed the whole squats thing. They were the space dwarves?

My brother still has his Squats from back in the day. Unfortunately, he hasn't updated them. Squats were actually a force to be reckoned with. They were comparable to the IG. The only thing that screwed them was their movement, 4 inch if I remember correctly, and of course their name. The Hearthguard was cool and I really enjoyed their version of a Terminator armor.

Squats don't Deserve love. GW had to kill them off TWICE. Let them rest in pieces in the belly of the Hive Fleet.

I prefer the look of Olley's Armies to that of the Hasselfree Minis. Texan Scrunts?

That's too much!

thats a little harsh. i have never understood why there was so much polarisation caused by squats. you either love them or hate them - there seems to be no middle ground....

its like the female spce marine debate in a way.....

I;ve yet to see a reasonable argument why those are good.

Squats work though. Really well as a matter of fact, they were just badly executed. I'd kill to see a kitbash of Fantasy Dwarfs and an IG army done well.

Well they aren't completely dead... Don't they live on in the Demiurg? Or at least the concept?
