    Default Tank Shocking, AP Value and Invisibility...

    Whilst the new rules are pretty cool for Tank Shocking it is now impossible to explode a vehicle using a normal tank type shock as there's no AP value given, meaning you're only ever going to stop after hitting......this seems like an oversight.

    However non-fearless invisible units can still be rammed/ tank shocked, as you can only fire snap shots at them anyway why not try and run them off the board with it, perhaps even run them down completely if they fail their morale.

    Ramming modifiers

    1/2 Fr AV
    +1 Tank
    +1 Dozer
    +2 Heavy/ Superheavy

    Decent shockers:

    A BAAL pred with dozer blade and come off the table edge 12" with a str 9 AP- ram attack into side or rear armour and then snap shot it's assault cannon and heavy bolters.

    Any Super Heavy type can tank shock/ ram and roll on the Thunder blitz table, and they auto cause an explodes on a 4+ prior to rolling for penetrating hits vs. vehicles and do either auto hitting D6 Str6 AP4 or 2D6 Str 10 AP2 prior to rolling the morale check, this means you have a chance to wipe a unit out before they can attempt a death or glory attack.

    This means a tank shocking super heavy is a decent way to rid yourselves of invisible units, though the meagre range is quite limiting to make this effective.

    If there was a Super Heavy Flyer that could move 18" it could be a kind of uber vector strike that could take out invisible bubbles...then stopping to snap shoot what's left over....though roll less than a 4+ and you could be finding your SH Flyer stopping mid air.....meh....

    Not knowing what tanks or super heavies skimmers are out there for Xenos, do they bring any cool ramming units?

    Battlewagon with a Deff-Rolla is a famous Orky ramming device, causes D6 Str 10 AP- hits on every unit hit by the tank shock, and 2d6 if the unit elects to attempt a "Death or Glory". With Red Paint Job, the Battlewagon can move 13 inches, and doesn't suffer penalties for that extra inch.

    Shame it's still AP- though, as it's never going to explode a vehicle... though it could wreck an invisible landraider!

    I notice at present the reinforced ram gives +2 to front Armour too....that's decent

    Reinforced Ram's bonus caps at Armour Value 14 however, and it only affects Death and Glory attacks, not the tank shock strength value. It gives Trukks and the like something extra to save against Powerfists or MC's. And allows vehicles like Trukks (who aren't "Tanks") to elect a Tank Shock/Ram.
