Thanks, that's great; so #4 isn't Chaos and he's missing a huge battle banner, good to know.

Thank you very much. I have about a dozen more to be identified but I think I've visited the well quite enough for now.

Thanks to all who have participated.

I'm amazed at the fund of knowledge available especially for figures almost 25 years old.

They're all at least 18 years old (apart from the Assault on Black Reach dude) - here's the 1997 catalogue with them in: http://solegends.com/citcat1997/index.htm

Which dates me, as I remember them all being released...

yup, likewise, I remember those chaos dudes coming out. I still have the power fist aspiring champion. I had a plastic left hand fist the same clawed style which I stuck on him so he had a matching pair.

yes I remember quite a few of them as well, espc the Khorne Plastic Berserkers, the only other cult troop that was also plastic IIRC was the Plague Troopers, still got an armless one of those in my collection....

It's quite funny that the arm is the most commonly missing part on any of those old plastic figures (this included the 2nd edition plastic sarge from the boxed game), then it's the bolter from the 2nd ed plastic marines from the original boxed game....

The claw from the Plastic Ork Heavy Weapons sprue, perhaps? http://www.solegends.com/citcat1997/1997p089-02.htm I sadly missed that 1st time round, only picked one up a couple of years ago.

no, left hand guy in the second picture with the raised right clawed fist, there was a matching chaos space marine plastic left fist. don't know where it came from, he looked cool with two though.
