Blood Pact - my take on them

I've run my plog of Blood Pact on a number of forums over the last few years - some of which are now closed, others have been muddied by my other projects so here's a thread just for them. I'll kick off with the finished units so far, then roll on to the WIPs. I've lightened the red Dan Abnett describes in his Gaunt's Ghosts stories largely because I couldn't get that shade in a spray when I started, but also because I quite fancied making my BP more like the Red Force from the old Action Force toys.

So here we go with the stuff that's already out there:

AT-70s (Leman Russ, missing the nose gun)

Chimera tracks combined with a scratchbuilt lower hull and Leman Russ upper. The gun has been extended to match the AT-70 description, but now I'm using them as Vanquishers, quite appropriate.






N-20 Halftracks

Testors/Newray 1/35 M3 and M16 toy halftracks with sytrene roof and Rhino and Chimera parts.

Sentinels

These look great. Some company REALLY needs to make 1/43 scale vehicles though. I 3/5 is too big, 1/48 is too small.

I may steal the half-track idea for my Orks.

I've seen the M3 used for Orks, it works well actually. Pretty versatile toy/kit! GW uses 1/35 for width and 1/48 for lengths (compared to real world vehicle) no scale model is ever going to look exactly right sadly. These are long and thinner than a stock Chimera, but if you work out the vehicle's footprint (length x width) the HTs are within an inch IIRC of the Chimera.

Infantry coming over the next week, and then a WIP on my Stalk tank which current needs a head as the one from the kit I converted (Blightwheel Mantis tank) isn't quite what I wanted.

Looking pretty sweet. I think the vehicles need a bit more in the way of chaos iconography though. A few chaos stars here and there, maybe a few icons of Khorne (blood pact were mostly Khorne worshippers weren't they?)
